Research compound

NAD+

Coenzyme · Cellular metabolism

NAD+ is nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide in its oxidized form. It is a coenzyme rather than a peptide, and its name should be distinguished from NADH and from precursor molecules used in other areas of research.

Mechanism of Action

NAD-related experiments may investigate redox reactions, enzyme activity or the pathways that maintain cellular pools. A result involving a precursor or a change in a metabolic enzyme is not automatically a result for externally supplied NAD+.

Forms and Use in the Research Literature

Begin comparisons with chemical identity and the analytical question being asked. Product quantities describe contents; they do not predict changes in intracellular NAD or establish a longevity outcome.

Comparing Refresh Research Formats

Browse the NAD+ listings above for current quantities, pricing and availability. Each product page identifies the format and its labeled contents. Compare the amount per container with the amount per unit where applicable; these are different measurements.

Use the individual listing to review its specifications and available COA link before selecting a material for laboratory work.

Documentation and Handling

Check the identity, composition and storage information supplied with the exact material. Analytical reports describe the sample tested; a source report is not verification of a different lot. Visit the Lab Reports page or contact Refresh Research for documentation questions.
