Description

The smallest GLP-2 size, built for first experiments

When a lab is setting up a new assay, the first weeks usually go to calibration: confirming solubility, checking a standard curve, and making sure the readout behaves. A 5 mg vial is meant for exactly that stage. It gives you enough material to validate a method without committing budget to a full study’s worth of peptide from day one.

What GLP-2 means on this site

At Refresh Research, GLP-2 is our catalog name for a dual-agonist incretin-class research peptide. It is designed to activate two receptors: the GLP-1 receptor and the GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) receptor. In cell and animal models, dual agonists of this kind have been investigated for how combined signaling at both receptors influences insulin secretion, glucose handling and energy-balance pathways, compared with activating the GLP-1 receptor alone.

  • Format: sealed glass vial
  • Labeled quantity: 5 mg
  • Form: lyophilized powder
  • Receptor class: dual GLP-1 / GIP receptor agonist

Planning ahead

If the pilot goes well, you may want the rest of the study to come from a single lot so results stay comparable. The same compound is listed in 10, 15 and 30 mg vials. Many groups start here, confirm their method, and then order a larger vial for the main run, noting both lot numbers in their records.

A note on handling a small vial

With less powder in the vial, small handling losses matter proportionally more. Let the vial reach room temperature before opening so condensation does not form, add diluent slowly down the inside wall, and swirl gently rather than shaking. Keep unopened vials refrigerated or frozen and away from light.

Pilot results from a 5 mg vial also make a stronger case when you request funding or approval for the larger study that follows. A small vial also lets you try out a new pipetting routine before any larger purchase. A small vial also makes it easy to test a new diluent or storage condition before applying it to a full study.

Lot records

Each GLP-2 lot is checked by an independent laboratory. The certificate for the lot on your label can be found on the COA / Lab Reports page, so your pilot data and your paperwork start out linked.
