GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring tripeptide (Gly-His-Lys) with a high affinity for copper(II) ions. It was first isolated from human plasma in the 1970s and has since become one of the most-studied small peptides in dermal, extracellular-matrix and tissue-remodelling research, which is why it is often simply called “copper peptide”.
